How to use drinking water test strips
Drinking water test strips are easy to use for anyone at home without expertise or experience.
- Put the testing water in a jar or clean container.
- Put the strip in the water and shake it for a few seconds, like 20.
- Leave for some minutes.
- Remove the test strip from the water.
- Shake it to remove excess water.
- Wait until the test strips change color.
- Match the color with the color chart provided with the test strips.
If you are testing for bacteria, you need to leave it at room temperature for 48 hours. If there are bacteria in your water, the water will turn the color specified by the manufacturer.
