A string wound sediment filter is a type of sediment water filter that is used in water treatment plants to remove particulates from the water. It is made up of woven synthetic fibers.
The thickness of the string varies depending on the layer. The outer layer has a thick layer. As you get closer to the center, the string becomes thinner and thinner. The innermost layer is thinner in the center, resulting in the overall rating of the 5-micron filter.
